Sales Assistant 

Event Photography of North America Corporation seeks a Sales Assistant to offer reliable support to the Director of Operations and Client Relations and help improve efficiency as sales volume increases. The Sales Assistant will be responsible for generating new leads, reaching out to current clients, responding to requests for proposals, drafting proposals, closing sales, upselling, and updating and maintaining client records. The role is particularly suited for highly detailed, customer service oriented individuals with spectacular administrative skills.

Key Duties of the Sales Assistant (80%):

  • Assists with sales tasks including a variety of correspondence, data entry, inputting sales leads, and drafting proposals.

  • Discover client needs and make appropriate recommendations.

  • Respond to prospective client and current client inquiries and provides product, promotion, and pricing information by clarifying client requests; selecting appropriate information; forwarding information; answering questions.

  • Conduct market research and reaches out to new leads.

  • Update client and job records accurately and consistently.

  • Update the sales/jobs calendar as required.

  • Track data, generates and distributes regular sales reports.

  • Maintains records/documents on appropriate platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 Marketing Duties (20%):

  • Assists in writing copy for various marketing collateral including but not limited to quarterly e-newsletter, email marketing campaigns, postcards, or other print materials.

  • Liaises with agency to coordinate social media and marketing efforts across a variety of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Constant Contact and Zoho CRM.

  • Tracks data, generates and distributes regular marketing reports.

  • Maintains stock of and orders promotional, marketing and items as required.

  • Share in the responsibilities of coordinating and executing company-hosted events.

  • Other duties as assigned – submitting expense reports, ordering/delivering client gifts, holiday cards.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Results-driven, flexible schedule within the scope of a 30-hour minimum work week. Minimum 7-hour blocks of time 5 days/week. Typical office hours are 8:30 am – 5:30 pm Monday-Friday EST. Training and trial period expected. Reports to Director of Operations and Client Relations.

Qualities and Qualifications

  • Accountable and committed to excellence. Meets deadlines.

  • Intermediate level skill in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and G-Suite for Business. Familiarity with CRM. Experience with Zoho CRM a plus.

  • One to three years of experience in a similar role(s).

  • Preferred: Knowledge and familiarity of the meetings and hospitality industry, photography and videography industry.

  • Beneficial: Copy-writing experience for marketing and sales campaigns, experience with social media platforms for purpose of marketing and sales. Knowledge of the basics of design preferred. Familiarity with InDesign, Photoshop, Constant Contact, and applications for creating and scheduling social media posts, and Constant Contact.
